By 3 January 2020, China has reported 44 such patients while media adds that there was a market in Wuhan, which was closed for environmental sanitization and disinfection.

On 22 February, India issued an Advisory to avoid travel to Singapore; Universal screening for flights from Kathmandu, Indonesia, Vietnam and Malaysia. More
On 26 February, India issued an Advisory to avoid travel to Iran, Italy and Republic of Korea. The Passengers coming from these countries were to be screened, and be quarantined based on screening and risk assessment. More
On 3 March, India suspended all visas for Italy, Iran, South Korea, Japan and China and introduced compulsary health screening for passengers arriving directly or indirectly from China, South Korea, Japan, Iran, Italy, Hong Kong, Macau, Vietnam, Malaysia, Indonesia, Nepal, Thailand, Singapore and Taiwan. On 4 March, India implemented Universal screening of all International Flights and directed for quarantine or isolation of cases, at home or in hospital based on screening and risk profile
A TN man was tested positive, under isolation in Chennai; 34 cases in India were reported. More
On 5 March, India required that the passengers from Italy or Republic of Korea should possess medical certificate before entry. More
On 10 March, India directed the passengers with travel history to China, Hong Kong, Republic of Korea, Japan, Italy, Thailand, Singapore, Iran, Malaysia, France, Spain and Germany to undergo home quarantine for a period of 14 days from the date of their arrival.

On 11 March, India ordered for a minimum of 14 days Compulsory Quarantine of Incoming travellers (including Indians) arriving in India, after 15 February, from or having visited China, Italy, Iran, Republic of Korea, France, Spain and Germany. More
On 16 March, Indi expanded compulsory quarantine for travellers from or through UAE, Qatar, Oman, and Kuwait. More
India also prohibited Travel of passengers from member countries of the European Union, the European Free Trade Association, Turkey and United Kingdom to India. More
On 17 March India prohibited the travel of passengers from Afghanistan, Philippines, Malaysia. More
India issued orders on 19 March for suspension of all incoming international flights with effect from 22nd March. More
On 25 March, the suspension of incoming international flights was extended till 14th April 2020.
In addition, India expanded Airport screening to all airports. More

Till now India's plan of action has been incredible.However, as per latest updates, if it could streamline the movement of the people who wish to return to their own state within India; that is travel from one state to the other within India, then we can ensure that our strategy is watertight.
